NIMUN Norway 2026 Successfully Concluded
The United Nations Student Association of Norway (UNSA Norway) has successfully executed NIMUN Norway 2026, the organisation’s national Model United Nations conference and the final major event of the 2025–2026 term.
NIMUN (Norwegian International Model United Nations) is UNSA Norway’s flagship academic simulation of the United Nations. The conference brings together students and young professionals from Norway and abroad to step into the role of diplomats, represent assigned countries, and engage in structured debate on pressing global issues. Through negotiation, resolution drafting, and committee work, participants gain practical insight into multilateral decision-making and international cooperation.
This year’s conference was held over three days under the theme “Diplomacy in an Age of Uncertainty.” More than 60 participants took part across committees, engaging in discussions on international peace and security, humanitarian challenges, and the future of global governance. The conference included a structured opening ceremony, committee sessions, and a closing ceremony with awards recognising outstanding delegates and contributions throughout the simulation. In addition, participants had the opportunity to engage with invited speakers and a high-level panel discussion featuring diplomats and experts in international affairs.
NIMUN Norway 2026 marks a significant milestone for UNSA Norway, as it represents the first national Model United Nations conference organised by the National Board. The project has been under development over several years and reflects the organisation’s continued commitment to strengthening youth engagement with multilateralism, diplomacy, and the United Nations system.
UNSA Norway extends its sincere gratitude to all delegates, chairs, speakers, volunteers, and partners who contributed to making the conference possible. Their engagement and commitment were central to the success of this year’s edition.
