Voices For Change, United For a Better World

From Norwegian Campuses to Global Impact

We are a volunteer-driven, non-partisan community for students and young adults who are interested in global issues, inspired by the values of the United Nations, and dedicated to building a world grounded in human rights, solidarity, and sustainable development.
ABOUT US

For a fair, just and sustainable world, for all

UN Students Norway is a nationwide student organisation dedicated to promoting global awareness, sustainability, and human rights through education, dialogue, and action. With active chapters in Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, Agder, Tromsø, Lillehammer, and Stavanger, we unite students across Norway in pursuit of international cooperation and peace.
By organising seminars, debates, and collaborative projects with embassies, NGOs, and academic partners, we empower young people to engage meaningfully with global issues and contribute to a fairer, more sustainable world.

Why “UN” Students

By adopting the UN’s principles, we seek to bring these global values into the academic and social spheres of student life in Norway. Our name reflects not only our admiration for the United Nations but also our commitment to translating its vision into tangible action through education, dialogue, and youth engagement.

For us, being UN Students means standing together as part of a global community — one that believes in understanding before judgement, collaboration before division, and action before apathy.

Shaping tomorrow, today

Today’s challenges — from climate change to inequality and conflict — will shape the world young people inherit tomorrow. By engaging now, youth can influence the decisions that define their future. At UN Students Norway, we believe that awareness is the first step towards action, and action the foundation of lasting change.

Action is not optional; it is essential. By addressing these issues collectively, we safeguard our shared future, promote justice, and ensure that global progress benefits everyone. The work we do at UN Students Norway reflects the urgent need for engagement, responsibility, and solidarity in building a sustainable and equitable world.
