FN-Sambandet

FN-Sambandet (The United Nations Association of Norway) works to strengthen knowledge and engagement about the United Nations and international cooperation. Established in 1946, shortly after the UN itself was founded, the Association has dedicated itself to making global issues more accessible and relevant to people in Norway.

Through educational materials, lectures, and interactive activities such as UN roleplay simulations, FN-Sambandet helps students and young people explore key themes including peace, human rights, sustainable development, and global citizenship. By collaborating closely with schools, teachers, and member organisations across the country, the Association promotes a deeper understanding of how global challenges are interconnected — and how each of us can contribute to addressing them.

FN-Sambandet maintains a close relationship with the United Nations and acts as a bridge between Norway and the global community. By translating complex international issues into accessible knowledge, it inspires active participation in building a fairer and more sustainable world.
