OUR MISSION

Learning for a Better World

At UN Students Norway, our mission is rooted in the belief that knowledge inspires action. We are a student-led organisation dedicated to promoting global awareness and encouraging young people to engage with the most pressing issues of our time. From our very foundation, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have served as a guiding framework for our work — shaping how we understand global challenges and the shared responsibility to address them.

Recently, we have also integrated the Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) agenda into our platform, reaffirming our belief in the transformative power of youth participation. Together, these two frameworks underscore our conviction that sustainable development and lasting peace are inseparable — and that both require the active involvement of informed, empowered young people.

By learning about the SDGs and YPS, students and young adults can better understand how global cooperation, peacebuilding, and sustainability intersect. These are not abstract ideals, but essential principles for building a fairer, more resilient, and more peaceful world — one that the youth of today will help shape tomorrow.
