Applications Open: National Board 2026-2027 of UNSA Norway
The National Board is responsible for guiding the organisation’s national activities, supporting local chapters, and ensuring that UNSA Norway continues to provide meaningful platforms for students interested in global affairs. Through collaboration with partners, organisation of events and programmes, and strategic development of the association, the Board plays a central role in shaping the organisation’s direction.
Applicants do not need to have been long-standing members of UNSA Norway. Experience from other student organisations, initiatives, or voluntary engagement will be considered equally. What we value most is motivation, reliability, and a genuine interest in contributing to the organisation’s mission.
What Does the National Board Do?
The National Board coordinates the work of the organisation at a national level and supports the activities of local chapters across Norway. Board members work together to strengthen the organisation’s outreach, develop programmes and events, maintain partnerships, and ensure effective organisational governance. Serving on the Board typically involves regular weekly board meetings, collaboration with local chapters, and participation in planning and implementing national and international initiatives. It is an opportunity to gain valuable experience in leadership, project management, communication, and organisational development while working with a team of engaged students from across the country.
The Open National Board Positions:
The National Board is structured around several portfolios, each responsible for a key area of the organisation’s work.
Secretary-General / President
The Secretary-General provides overall leadership for the organisation and coordinates the work of the National Board. This role involves representing UNSA Norway externally, guiding strategic priorities, and ensuring effective collaboration within the Board.
Deputy Secretary-General
The Deputy Secretary-General supports the Secretary-General in coordinating the organisation’s activities and helps ensure smooth internal operations. The role also involves assisting with organisational planning and communication between the national board and local chapters.
Head of Communications
The Head of Communications oversees the organisation’s public outreach and digital presence. This includes managing social media platforms, promoting events and initiatives, and strengthening the visibility of UNSA Norway’s work.
Head of Diplomatic Programmes
This role focuses on developing academic and educational initiatives related to international cooperation and diplomacy. Responsibilities may include organising conferences, simulations such as Model United Nations, and other programme-based activities.
Head of International Relations
The Head of International Relations maintains and develops partnerships with international organisations, youth networks, and relevant institutions. The role may also involve representing the organisation in international forums and strengthening UNSA Norway’s global engagement.
Head of Finance
The Head of Finance is responsible for overseeing the organisation’s finances, including budgeting, financial planning, and funding applications. This role helps ensure the organisation’s financial sustainability and transparency.
