The Tromsø Project
The Tromsø Project marked a significant milestone in UN Students Norway’s mission to strengthen youth engagement across the country. Initiated in 2024, the project emerged after the closure of the Bodø Chapter, when the organisation recognised that there remained a strong interest in UN-related work among students in Northern Norway.
To reach out, the national board launched a call on social media seeking motivated students in Tromsø to take the lead locally. Over the following year, our then Members Manager (2024–2025) coordinated close collaboration between youth in Tromsø and the national board, focusing on outreach, stands, and promotional efforts.
In September 2025, the Tromsø Chapter was officially established with its own dedicated board. Today, the chapter continues to grow and embody the organisation’s values — promoting global awareness, dialogue, and youth participation throughout the Tromsø region.
