China’s Role in the United Nations

UNSA Oslo is pleased to invite members and interested students to an upcoming event focusing on China’s role in the United Nations, organised in collaboration with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China.

As a permanent member of the UN Security Council and a central actor in global governance, China plays a significant role in shaping multilateral responses to some of the world’s most pressing challenges. This event will place particular emphasis on climate policy and the green transition, offering participants the opportunity to gain insight into China’s perspectives on international cooperation, sustainable development, and environmental responsibility.

Representatives from the Chinese Embassy will deliver an introductory presentation outlining China’s engagement within the UN system, followed by an open question-and-answer session, allowing for dialogue and critical discussion.
