Looking back what is your fondest or most memorable moment from your time with UN Students Norway?
“Looking back, my fondest memories from UN Students are the friendships and connections I made throughout my two years in the organization. It was incredibly rewarding to collaborate with dedicated individuals to create a vibrant student environment centered around global issues. Among the many events we organized, I am particularly proud of two: one featuring NRK´s Middle East correspondent Yama Wolasmal on women´s rights in Afghanistan, and another with USAID´s Chief Economist and Somalia´s former Minister of Foreign Affairs discussing the future of aid in Africa.”
How did your experience with UNSAN influence your career path or personal development?
“UNSAN has had a profound impact on my career. Through the organization, I was nominated to represent Norway at UN meetings in both New York and Qatar, experiences that remain defining milestones for me. On a personal level, I grew as a leader and deepened my understanding of topics such as equality and climate change, which continue to shape my professional journey.”
Based on your journey, what advice would you give to current students and young adults in UNSAN?
“My advice to current students and young adults in UNSAN is to stay engaged and active. Take full advantage of the events, contribute to creating an inclusive and inspiring student environment, and embrace every opportunity to learn. By doing so, you will not only gain valuable knowledge but also build meaningful relationships and open doors to opportunities that can shape your future.”
